LMultilingo Kids

Privacy & COPPA

Last updated October 2026

Our promise

Multilingo Kids is built for children. We collect the minimum data needed to run the service, never sell personal information, and never show third-party advertising.

Verifiable parental consent (COPPA)

Only adults may create accounts. A parent or school administrator must consent before any child profile is created. Children never provide an email address, phone number or real name — only a nickname chosen by the parent.

What we collect about children

Nickname, age, chosen languages, an optional avatar, and learning activity (minutes practiced and words learned). Voice games process audio on the device where possible; recordings are not stored.

School use (FERPA & COPPA school consent)

Schools may consent on behalf of parents for educational use only. Students log in with anonymous 6-digit classroom codes. Schools own their student data and can delete it at any time.

GDPR-K & international families

For users in the EU/UK we process children's data on the basis of parental consent, apply data minimization by default, and honor rights of access, correction, portability and erasure.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Strict access rules ensure parents can only see their own children's data, and school admins only their own school.

Retention & deletion

Deleting a child profile permanently removes it and its progress. Closed accounts are erased within 30 days.
